To rent (parts of) the chrurch

The Oude Kerk is still one of the few large and characteristic historic locations in the inner city of Amsterdam where one can dine exclusively and where it is possible to hold presentations and receptions.

Rates
Rental prices are on request, also for exhibitions, small-scale activities / weddings and activities which can take place in the Chancel, the Council Chamber, the Sebastian Chapel or the Sacristy.
Rental includes the standard facilities* mentioned below.

Particulars
Because the Oude Kerk is a monument, certain rules apply in the building. Smoking is not permitted in the church, for example. The church is also unheated (exception: the smaller period rooms) and therefore less suitable for sit-down dinners during the colder months (October through April).
In connection with church services of the Reformed Congregation, the church is not available for use on Sunday morning (until 13.00 hours).

The church is reachable by boat via the Oudezijds Voorburgwal.

Catering
Catering possibilities and conditions can be discussed via telephone and a list of recommended caterers and the General Conditions for Catering are available on request. For engaging an external caterer a contribution of 15% over Food & Beverages applies, to be made over by the caterer.

Monday through Friday between 09.00 and 17.00 hours, Saturday between 11.00 and 17.00 hours and Sunday between 13.00 and 17.00 hours:
As standard, 1 person from the General Technical Service is available for assistance, and a counter assistant for entry control / cash register.

Use of stage (Mickery System, 20 pieces at 1 X 2 m./height 20-80 cm)
Per piece: € 10 (excluding assembly)
Foot stoves ( 64 units for about 268 chairs): € 45 (excluding personnel costs)
Heating stands (3): € 10 (excluding personnel costs)
At a peak load >25 kWh: € 10 per kW
Cleaning: € 30 per person per hour
Costs related to having three pews repositioned and returned (approx. € 1,200.00)

Personnel
Outside the standard hours (see Facilities - standard) and if more personnel are desired / required, the following applies:

Personnel costs: € 30 per person per hour
Mon. through Fri. 18.00-24.00 hours: 25 % surcharge (€ 37. 50 per person per hour)
Sat. and Sun. 18.00–24.00 hours: 40 % surcharge (€ 42 per person per hour)
Mon. through Sun. 24.00-09.00 hours: 50 % surcharge (€ 45 per person per hour – limited possibilities)

In connection with safety requirements, extra personnel costs are charged in the following situations:
Above 50 guests: 1 extra staff member per hour
Above 100 guests: 2 extra staff members per hour
150 guests or more: 3 extra staff members per hour

Extra personnel costs are also charged, for example, for cleaning or for building/dismantling stage or for changing of the permanent set-up:
- Changing direction of all Nave foot stoves or chairs: 1 hour for 1 staff member
- Moving all foot stoves or chairs to a different place: 2 hours for 2 staff members
- Storing all foot stoves or chairs: 3 hours for 3 staff members

For the relocation of the foot stoves and chairs, the number of staff members stated above is doubled.
