the 23rd edition of Museumnacht, the Oude Kerk invites you to participate in the creation of a new work of art. Together with other city residents, you will contribute to a unique Amsterdam variation on the iconic artwork American Archaeology by the world-famous artist Meredith Monk. Bring a chosen object of use to the church and dip it in liquid beeswax. Think of an old phone, empty pen or maybe even a mug. The beeswax solidifies and dries, protecting these everyday objects from weathering and ageing. They become relics of our time.
End your Museum Night festively at the Oude Kerk, where the music programme will be provided by Kanaal40! DJs Soft Break and Zeta Lys spin sets inspired by the music of Monk.
